I don't agree. [It's flat and annoyed and maybe a little biased. He's not angry at Jae-Ha, obviously, but it's hard for him not to be furious about the situation.]
What good intentions could be meant by bringing that up when she wasn't even fully under suspicion? Why draw attention to something like that? [...] If he knew her at all he would have understood how detestable that kind of behavior was whether he thought it would help or not. She trusted him and he used it for his own gain.
[The trouble with Hades children is that they're prone to holding grudges. It's their fatal flaw and it's something Nico himself has to work through a lot. As it is, he takes the hot cocoa and there's a quiet "thanks" even though he doesn't say anything after that. He settles for leaning against whatever nearby space there is to think this through.]
...would you have done something like that to Sousei?
And I would never do something like that to Kyouka. So really that just proves the point that there couldn't possibly be good intentions behind the act because any reasonable person would realize it's a terrible thing to do to someone. Especially when we're already in a situation against our will.
[..on the other hand.] Do you think the Crafters will care if someone continues to vote for their partner?
He doesn't voice it - but he disagrees. Good intentions can often be incorrect, especially when they're made during stressful situations and by someone who can't seem to understand what they're doing.
But he doesn't care to lecture someone who's so obviously still angry about it. So he doesn't.]
... I don't think it can be seen as a recommended action. They seem to be going out of their way to make sure that we bond with each other, for whatever reason.
[Thanks for that. He at least takes a sip of cocoa to calm the fuck down.]
I assume it might have to do with what happened in the last war. One partner who didn't tell the other partner what they were doing and that led to the death of one of the Crafters. If they're trying to prevent that they would do everything possible to make sure we bond and remain truthful to one another.
But I'm not sure it's working. Some people find their partnership dysfunctional either way.

... from her own partner, nonetheless. I assume that he had good intentions but...
[the road to hell sure is paved with those]

Jae-ha moves to pour the cup of hot cocoa then, quietly offering it out to Nico.]
... I didn't say that I thought it was the smart move. Or that he knew her well, or that he knew what he was doing at all.
Sometimes good intentions can be muddled somewhere in the middle if executed by clumsy hands.
You're right to be angry for her.

Never.
He'd kill me on the spot.
I wouldn't even blame him - I hate controlling things like that. I'd deserve it.
[jae-ha where was your previous case for waver]
