[ rapunzel, when not with yasusada, heads to the kitchen to make a cup of hot cocoa. except she's not actually making the cup of hot cocoa, instead he's staring off into the distance and sighing. ]

he's going to approach her with something hidden behind his back. lucky for everyone, he's wearing a shirt for this conversation.]

[ a far cry from her usual sunny self, she just shrugs. ]

[ honestly she's so frustrated it's hard to outright lash out, but him saying that reminds her of eugene and it takes out all the anger air out of her sails. ]

I'm not good company right now, Jae-ha. I'm upset.

... you don't have to be good company for me. It's alright if you're upset... I just didn't want you to be left alone through it.

[Rapunzel, of all people in the castle, didn't deserve any of this.]

For Yasusada, yeah. [ but the truth is, she doesn't want to be alone, either. ] But if you want to help me figure out what to cook for him.... we could do that.
