That depends, are you going to make me say it again?
[That said, he yawns. He's not actually expecting anything of it. There's an explanation on his lips - 'my companions back home were a rather touchy bunch' - but it doesn't make it past his lips.
Jae-ha seems to think about that - he's only seen a few shrines, and a few villages, but he's going to try his best. There's a wave of his hand and he conjures up the image above his head, closer to Sousei, of a lake with trees and a small town nearby along with a shrine. The sun seems to be shining down on it, and everything there is bright and warm and sunny.
It's magic, which Sousei might hate, but also Jae-ha had to try.
There's a little hum.]
Did I get it?
I thought I should practice more with the little gift they gave me.
[... Oh. Sousei's quiet for a long moment, watching that happen, eyes widening a little despite himself. Naturally it's not perfectly similar, but it's very close, and...
It's endearing. The effort is endearing, and Sousei pauses for a moment, eyes fixed on the image Jae-ha's attempting to make... before he just clears his throat, and points at a few places in the shrine.
He'll describe them for Jae-ha more properly--so that instead of a generic shrine, it represents the Kumou shrine, because playing along with this and allowing Jae-ha to properly see the place Sousei's fondest of seems like the best way to acknowledge...
That he really does appreciate this more than he knows how to say.]
[ . . . hah. Jae-ha listens to the descriptions and focuses past the haze of tipsiness in order to refine the details based on what Sousei tells him. He adjusts the magic in order to create the illusion, and can't help but find it very fitting that of all things to find beautiful, Sousei would pick a town at peace.
Someplace that he loves - tranquil and warm.
As he finishes up the last details in the picture, he lets his gaze flick to watch Sousei's face rather than the illusion.]

You need more of an imagination.
no subject
Honestly.]
I do not need anything of the sort.
Would you stop moving around?
no subject
thwarted.
anyway - ]
I just want to be closer to you, you killjoy.
no subject
[Flatly!!]
You should be over that by now.
no subject
[No, he knows why.]
I suppose it's just warmer that way. [His gaze flicks to the ceiling.] 'I want to rely on you, so you should let me lean on you'.... sort of thing?
no subject
... That is truly how you feel?
no subject
[That said, he yawns. He's not actually expecting anything of it. There's an explanation on his lips - 'my companions back home were a rather touchy bunch' - but it doesn't make it past his lips.
This is fine too.]
no subject
[Because he's...contemplative about it. If Jae-ha isn't actually poking fun at him and it is sincerely a "leaning on him" thing...
Then it's much like the Kumous, who were always a touchy bunch, and never with any bad intentions at all.]
no subject
Jae-ha waves a hand.]
You're not very good at saying how you feel about people, you should at least let me lean on you.
[A shrug.]
But then you'd just say 'don't tell me what to do' and I'll think it's unfortunately attractive.
[he didn't need to keep talking]
no subject
[Thanks.
That said...]
If that is how you feel, then fine. You may lean on me if you are so insistent on it. [Oh...........]
no subject
I may what?
[oh he's definitely drunk and imagining this]
no subject
[He'll!! Take it back!!]
no subject
but then he's going to scoot over again and move to lay his head in sousei's lap
squinting as he does
dubious
tense like he's ready to be thrown off]
no subject
Looks away.
But he's not shoving Jae-ha off?
So like. There u go.]
no subject
but jae-ha just continues to ponder whether it's real or not for another second
before laughing
and reaching up to touch sousei's face to get his attention]
Hey.
Tell me something you find beautiful.
no subject
[Oh.
Sousei is still Sousei.
But that aside.]
Something beautiful... I suppose to me, beautiful things are what work in proper order, as they are supposed to.
no subject
[just saying.
but anyway he's going to chill out now that he's distracted, apparently comfortable with his head in sousei's lap and looking up at him]
.... that's very abstract. Can't you say something simpler? Like a sunset? A waterfall?
no subject
[Sousei just shakes his head at that, huffing out a faint breath.
A beat, and:]
... Though I do suppose the sun shining on Lake Biwa was very beautiful.
[And symbolic.]
no subject
Jae-ha thinks about that for a second and tries to remember what lakes he's seen.]
... what's around your lake? Trees? A village? Other plants?
no subject
... Why does that matter to you? What are you angling for here?
no subject
[whiiiine]
Don't be difficult.
no subject
[But.
It was still home for a very, very long time.]
